As usual, the Frome social calendar is crammed for the weekend, there is just too much to choose from. Here are our top picks of the best things to do on this August weekend.
Truly Sopel invites you to a pyjama party at her Stoney street boutique, join the fun for free and enjoy milkshakes, Babycham, cakes, hair crimping and music! She is also offering special offers on various fashion creations from her clothing line. All ages welcome and bring your favourite bedtime story.
Get down to the beat at Fromes New Venue for Traffic, back in Frome on Friday night for an upbeat mix of House, Garage and Breaks. This has been a highly popular event in the past so purchasing tickets before arrival recommended. From 9pm - 2:30am (Last entry 12:00am). Tickets available from Skiddle for just £4.00. Shake What Ya Mama also returns on Saturday for another booty popping event at the Venue, more not to be missed dance floor action.
Frome Memorial Theatre is hosting Rock 'n' Roll Paradise, in its 8th successive year, bringing a new and exciting format with it. The show starts at 7:30 pm on Saturday the 19th featuring the music of Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash and "The King" Elvis. Tickets are available from £21 on the Memorial Theatre website or on the night with an additional £1 charge. Get your jive on!
On Sunday glaze your own pot at Enigma Pottery on Vicarage street, it costs just £10 to select and glaze a pot of your choice in a special Raku glaze and watch it being fired in the Raku kiln. The day runs from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, this is a unique experience from the Enigma pottery, the Love Frome team are looking forward to creating our own pots for the office.
Once you've becoming suitably hungry after your pot creating you will find the Three Swans is mere meters away from you and their roast dinners are calling, the Sunday Lunch is available for £13 for two courses and £18 for three. Often getting booked up way in advance, best to call Helen on 01373 452009 to arrange a table.
Have a great weekend!
